Inability to diagnose a simple fault + intense desire to up-sell = zero stars.UPDATED AT ENDThis company is one of those that charges $95 for house calls whether or not they diagnose the problem in the HVAC. Even after multiple visits, they were unable to diagnose my problem, but did not try hard. Then they tried to up-sell me on a completely new unit, an expense of several thousand dollars.Another company did a far better job with a much better technician and were able to diagnose the problem and fix it for ten times less cost.I would not recommend this company unless you don't mind being ripped off.UPDATE: Thanks for the response and apology!I post on social media using a handle. It won't be in your system.(1) Very polite response from the owner. The company are very polite, and will smile as they take your money (as someone else said). Actually, I felt that the technicians who I dealt with on multiple visits were condescending, because they thought I was a chump and could be scammed.(2) It is very nice of them to offer to refund the diagnostic fee, but no thank you. I knowingly signed up for that and a deal is a deal. In fact when I did, they explicitly told me it would not be refundable. Thank you anyway.(3) Many of the reviews mention their politeness, punctuality and so on. All true. But the basic fact is that they could not, or would not, diagnose the correct problem, and as a result I would have spent unnecessarily thousands of dollars with them. It is not unlike restaurant reviews that say how nice the server was, and the decor, etc. but don't state that the food is awful. OUTCOMES MATTER!!(4) Their technicians are on commission, and that is why there is no incentive to find the right, cost-effective solution. This is a common practice.(5) I got my problem solved by a genuinely motivated technician at another company. It was a far better experience. They did tests to figure out the problem, worked with me on that, came out for no fee, even on the weekend, and solved the problem at a fraction of the cost offered by Guthrie. And they were equally polite and punctual, and I didn't feel condescended by them.If you read the other 1 star reviews you will find others saying the same thing.
